Stage two of patio

For being over 50 years old, Mom and I did pretty good.  We had the job done inside an hour and a half.  We only use 1.5 ton of cement.  Now mom is going to tile it with a rustic slate tile.  Fill the planter bed with ferns and we are done.  I thought by 50 I would be finished with all big projects.  It keeps one young to work.
Stage one; dig out form, reinforce new area with re-bar, make sure it is level.
Stage Two; Lay cement, level and then wait to dry.  Next step tile.

Seth and Aunt Sara

This was taken at Seth's Big Birthday party a couple of weeks ago.  Sara is Seth's favorite aunt because she understands super hero's.  He was pretty excited to have the same shirt that Aunt Sara has.

Sara's signature pose as Superman

I couldn't help but put these two photo's in my Blog.  It is a common thing with Sara to just strike a superman pose.  She is into super hero's.  Especially Superman.  Even at the San Diego Temple she finds the need.  Seth would understand.  When the feeling comes over you, you gotta be who you are.

Back to the truck to get warm.  Thyci is not used to being cold.  She said she really enjoys the adventure and the beauty of the area.

Like father, like son......Tyler & Darius

Tyler's Family 2011

It was good to visit with Tyler and his family.  The kids are always fun to watch play.  Each one has his or her particular personality.  Athena and Darius are very tech savvy.  They work a touch screen IPOD like a pro.  Darius felt Grandma's IPOD wad disorganized, so he created folders and placed various programs in the appropriate folder.  He is a very organized child.  One of his folders was labeled, "Kid's Games".  They also played, "Find the Egg" which Nick was in charge of hiding the eggs.

Technology has brought games a long way from Pong and Atari.

My oldest boy Tyler.  I had the chance to go to work with him and I was duly impressed with his skills with cars and computers. I really enjoyed working with him on our truck.

I love this pic of Alexis as she watches her children play.  Doesn't she have a beautiful face.
