Determination

It is now official, mom and I have moved 1.8 ton of cement by ourselves,  Twice!  Which brings into question our mental capacity to make reasonable decisions.  If you guys want to council with each other if putting us into a home for the mentally incapacitated is appropriate, It's all in the "Living Trust of what to do".   I will not fight you on that one.  Now comes the part of pouring it of which I am not looking forward to.   That one we are going to get some help with.  The Missionaries or rent a Mexican from Home Depot.  I guess I still can make reasonable decisions.

3600 lbs of cement and 400 lbs of tile just to the left of the cement.

Newest Project?

Well,  Since mom and I took out our spa we needed to do something with this area, so we are enlarging it to put in a patio.  This entails ME!.... drilling thirteen 8 inch in depth holes in the original cement pad with mom standing behind me for leverage.   This will be to secure the new pad to the old by using re-bar.  (see photo)  Mom is the brains of the operation, I am the muscle which doesn't speak much for the muscle part.  I would much rather be the brains of the operation. I can remember when drilling thirteen holes would have taken me one day.  I'm on day 3 and there will be a day 4 to finish.  Ovid said, "There is nothing swifter than the years" So true.  My arms hurt, My chest hurts, My back hurts, even my butt hurts, go figure.  We are taking our time due to age.  But, it gives us a project to keep us busy.  Now I need to get 45 bags of 80 lbs cement bags to the back-yard.  Aaron, don't take this the wrong way, but I sure could use Tyler's Muscle and Sara's skill.  Sara has experience working in laying cement pads. We are renting a professional cement mixer this time.  When I was young and not too bright, I would have used a wheel barrow to mix the cement.  After all is done mom will tile the pad to cover the cement.

Dad's Dog

Most normal families have a dog, cat maybe some birds, but not Me.  I seem to play outside the box.  This is Abby and I must admit I will be sad when she has to go back to the school farm.  She is a crack up to have around.  And besides she likes me.

Hanging with his best animal friend, Cous Cous

Abby catching air.  It is a crack up to watch her play.  She just jumps around.

If you look to the right of Abby's Butt you will see Cous Cous poking her head out of a bush.

They really are a close.  Cous Cous Still sleeps with Abby.  It's an odd couple.

There are two things that don't belong in your face.  Green Peas and a goats butt.
